Chinese Medicine and Herbal Remedies

In Chinese medicine everything has a place and a structure in order to help with healing. All of these are natural approaches to bringing holistic health in an individual. One of the concepts that Chinese medicine uses in relation to this is herbal remedies. By combining a variety of elements, there is the ability for the herbs to help in healing everything.

The basis behind herbal remedies is to combine a series of herbs in order to bring about the desired effect. Usually, there will be a formula of four herbs used in combination with each other. This is done in order to treat secondary illnesses that may have been affected by the primary illness. It also helps to balance and strengthen the body while it is healing.

When Chinese medicine begins to divide the various herbal remedies, they will do so by a hierarchy. At the top of this hierarchy is the emperor herb. This will be used to cure the major illness that is taking place. Underneath this is the ?ministers’ of the herbal remedy. This is used to treat any secondary illnesses that are taking place. After this, herbal ?assistants’ will be used to support the other two herbs. The last set of herbs will be the messenger herbs, which will tell the primary and secondary herbs where to go and how much of an effect to take on the body.

The herbal remedies that are placed together after this will be divided by the specific symptoms that are being seen. Like all other parts of Chinese medicine, these will first be found through the five elements and how they relate to the body. For example, some herbs will be spicy in order to relate to areas of the body that need this extra element to begin better flow of Qi.

The last part of herbal medicine from ancient Chinese remedies is to determine the type of energy that is needed by a person. This is found by diagnosis and examining the Qi that is in a person. After this, a specific mixture of these four hierarchies will be mixed together in order to help change the energy flow that is in someone.

By examining the Qi and finding respective remedies through herbs, one is able to find the best solutions using a holistic method. This allows one to benefit from the use of Chinese medicine and herbs in order to fight off an illness or block of energy in their system.

The general public is increasingly turning to alternative healing systems and cancer treatment options.

One reason for both the failure of traditional cancer therapy is that they are only focusing the disease. While other healing systems are designed to improve and maintain the overall health of the patient, traditional medicine isn’t concerned with the patient until disease has set in.

The biggest secret of all is that, of all the many healing systems available to you, the most effective system resides inside of you. The natural state of a human being is healthy; any deviation from health is unnatural. Sadly, the medical establishment isn’t built around healthy people it is obviously built around sick people. Once people realize that they don’t need get sick, the need for our medical establishment will disappear.

One of the deceptions is that the toxic treatments for most of the illnesses we face have come to be known as “traditional” while the natural, non-toxic treatments have become “non-traditional” and “alternative.” However, most of these “non-traditional” healing systems have been around much longer than our “traditional” medicines.

Many of these healing systems and cancer, actually, have a more successful relationship than with other illnesses.

Because most healing systems focus on you and your natural healing abilities, and cancer is simply a part of you gone haywire, they are extremely effective in healing cancer.

Take responsibility for your own health and do not depend, entirely, on your doctor. There are hundreds of healing systems and health-based ways of living out there. It is you responsibility to explore and, realistically, you should begin your exploration before you have a “reason” in the form of disease or cancer. It is always easier to stay healthy than it is to become healthy. Make no mistake, however: in nearly every way, the relationship between alternative healing systems and cancer is much more successful than the relationship between traditional medicine and cancer. Finding this out requires nothing more than approaching them with an open mind and disregarding the propaganda and disinformation put out by the medical establishment.

These days, people are focusing more and more on making natural choices. Organic foods, regular exercise, naturopathic medicine, herbal remedies and even electric or electric hybrid cars are becoming regular elements in daily life. For many, alternative therapies such as Pranic, Tantric, and Reiki healings have become the rule rather than the exception.

If you have interest in New Age literature, or have studied areas of spirituality, sexuality and healing, you have likely seen terms like “chakra”, “prana”, “aura”, and “tantra”. Here you will come to understand the meanings of some of these exotic vocabularies.

”Chakra” is your energy center. It is a term used in the ancient Hindu system of healing known as Pranic healing. “Prana” means life energy. “Aura” is another word that can be traced to Pranic healing. The aura is a non-physical body consisting only of energy, which exists along with our physical body. It has been said that there are seven layers to the aura that surrounds the human body. These layers are the manifestation of an individual’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energies. By studying the color and thickness of the auras, it is believed that one can determine the state of an individual’s health. The aura is divided into six colors signifying six individual personalities. These colors are all present in an individual aura, but one or two are generally more pronounced.

Red – activist

Violet – psychic

Green – ambitious achiever

Blue – spiritual peacemaker

White – unconventional chameleon

Orange – creative communicator

Tantra is most popularly associated with a particular practice of sex and spirituality, but it is also a method of energy healing. Tantra is derived from the word “tan”, meaning to spread or expand. The concept of connectedness is a recurring theme in Tantric writings on sex and spirituality. Spirituality and sexuality figure prominently in the Tantric method of healing. It is believed that the union of man and woman can reach spiritual levels during orgasm, which removes collected impurities from the body and mind. These impurities are negative energies that, if not removed, can manifest as physical illnesses.

Unlike Pranic and Tantric healings, which have Hindu origins, Reiki healing originated in Japan. Reiki is a relatively younger healing method than Pranic and Tantric healings, having been rediscovered in the early 1900′s. Reiki stands for universal energy brought forth by higher intelligence. Students of Reiki are taught how to tap this energy to heal physical, emotional, and mental illnesses.

Although Pranic, Tantra, and Reiki are all systems of energy healing, they differ in the type of energy tapped for healing: Pranic is life energy, Tantra is sexual energy, and Reiki is universal energy.

These healing methods are all similar in their concepts of the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit, the connection of individuals to the universe and to all living and nonliving things around them, and in the way the energy impacts physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

People are turning to Pranic, Tantric, and Reiki as alternative methods of healing. In spite of the availability and relative accessibility of modern medicine, there are several reasons that more and more people are being drawn to them:

Energy healing can work where modern medicine has failed

For reasons both explainable and mysterious, modern medical treatments can fail to heal ailments and conditions in certain patients. While research and available data may not be available to support this statement, the patients and their families will gladly accept the risk. In an attempt to find relief or a cure, these people may choose to use a number of alternative treatments including herbals and organics, faith healers, witch doctors and New Age healing techniques.

Modern medicine to be isolating

Medical treatments can often focus on the disease and its cause, leaving he patient feeling isolated. Although recent developments in hospital practice are beginning to promote the holistic treatment of patients, patients can still be left feeling like a mere host of the disease. In energy healing, spirituality and energy are intimately linked, leaving patients to feel as if all aspects of their health are being attended to.

Energy healing is non-obtrusive

Repeated surgical procedures can be physically and emotionally traumatic for most patients. Therefore, it is a logical and attractive option to patients and their families to turn to less stressful health interventions. Natural treatment is also the option of choice for the rising New Age religion population.

Energy healing relieves stress

Meditation is part and parcel of energy healing methods, and becomes greatly beneficial for highly stressed people. Further, because sophisticated equipment is not required, it is much more convenient for students and future students of energy healing.

Both mainstream medicine and alternative healing have benefits. We are fortunate to live in a society that encourages personal choice, so there are supporters in both arenas. Should you find the need for physical healing, research your options and choose the method that’s best for your personal situation. In the final analysis, what matters most is the restoration of your good health.

The healing power of the herbs was not considered to be effective enough by the medical personnel in treating various diseases even few decades back. Herbs cure the root cause of the disease, improves the body immunity system involving lesser cost and almost without any side effects. From the commonly used kitchen-garden herbs to the rare species; every herb is singular in their healing properties.

Few are the names of the commonly available herbs having wondrous therapeutic power.

1. Basil, the commonly available herb generally used for culinary purpose improves appetite and reduces fatigue. This herb from the mint family acts as carminative aiding in digestion. It is also used as an aphrodisiac and treating depression.

2. Cinnamon widely used as spice, is used in treating a number of diseases starting from indigestion to diabetes. Regular intake of cinnamon powder reduces blood sugar level to a great extent. It is also helpful in treating Candida yeast infection.

3. Clove is another common herb used as spice in various dishes. Clove oil is beneficial in treating bacterial and fungal infections, a good pain killer in reducing toothache and treating other gum diseases.

4. Garlic one of the most inexpensive herbs must be used liberally either in dishes or eaten raw. It helps in reducing blood cholesterol and high blood pressure as it helps as blood thinner. It is also used in treating various viral and fungal infections.

5. Neem is the native of India and its oil is rich in Vitamin E and has essential fatty acids. So it is used to treat a various number of skin diseases like eczema, psoriasis, scabies, acne, ordinary scars and athletes foot.

6. Tea tree oil is used in a number of antibacterial treatments. Treating Candida yeast infections, herpes, abscess and boils tea tree oil finds extensive use. Moreover it helps in boosting the immunity system of the body.

7. Cedar wood oil is used for treating skin problems and reducing respiratory complaints. It reduces itching and treats severe skin diseases like psoriasis and eczema.

8. Aloe Vera is rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and essential acids. Apart from skin tonic it helps in digestion, treats chronic ulcers and good for kidney, gall bladder.

There are numerous such herbs with their unique healing properties. Those under medication of chronic diseases must be cautious enough while taking the herbal concoctions or supplements as these may interfere with some drugs. In that case it is advisable to consult an expert before starting herbal therapy.

In 2007 after several deteriorating Pap tests with my local gynecologist I was on my way to see an oncology specialist several hours from home

Healing essences is a form of vibrational medicine that is being heard of in the mainstream world more often these days. Many people are wondering what this fancy sort of healing is all about. The vibrational medicine or medicine that relies on energy from living things such as plants, flowers, crystals. The healing from these entities is concentrated on the modalities and can transform a person’s vibrations.

I know, for the conservative type, it sounds absolutely absurd. It did to me too before I actually used them. Energy healing is for real and should not be taken lightly. Energy exists in all living things (not just human or animal.) Einstein had said in our not too distant past that energy is mass times the square of the speed of light. This is why a dragonfly looks like a dragonfly and not a mouse. Everything has its own unique energy print.

Your thoughts, feelings, body as a whole has its vibration different from everyone else. Have you ever been close to someone, physically close to someone and you could feel the heat? That is not just body heat, but the other person’s energy. The vibrations of others can directly affect yours as well.

Based on this simple data, a man named Edward Bach created the first set of healing essences back in the 1930′s. With the use of flower essences, we have the ability to alter our own energy patterns. Remember how I said that every living thing has its own imprint of energy? Well, flowers are the same and by placing the essence of the flower in water and drinking it, we can directly impact our energetic makeup!

Let me introduce you to one amazing flower…the Impatient. This flower can remind us of our own anxieties and how everything is just not moving fast enough sometimes.
