Plant Medicine Reverses Varicose Veins Safely

Varicose veins have been reported to affect about 36% of women and 19% of the men in the US. Although varicose veins are more commonly observed in the legs, they can form anywhere in the body and may vary in severity. Women are more commonly affected than men. They refer to an abnormal condition of the veins. The affected veins become swollen, twisted and painful following abnormal collection of blood in them. Some people believe that varicose veins are hereditary; however, it has been shown that several factors increase the risk of this condition.

Factors that increase the risk of varicose veins include standing or sitting for a very long period of time, hormonal imbalances; usually due to hormone-mimicking oral contraceptives, obesity and pregnancy; which is the strongest factor for women. In fact, it is estimated that 41% of women in their mid 50s will have suffer varicose veins, especially during pregnancy. Fortunately, though, most cases of varicose veins due to pregnancy usually disappear after delivery.

Varicose veins are commonly associated with pain in the affected legs. The legs feel full and heavy with enlarged veins that are visible over the skin. The skin over the veins may be itchy. The ankle of the affected leg may have a mild amount of swelling with ulcers present occasionally. The diagnosis of varicose veins is based on the symptoms noticed. The doctor may advise additional tests in order to rule out the presence of other disorders of the legs. Depending on the severity of the condition, there are three major treatment options for varicose veins.

In most cases, wearing elastic compression stockings could be the only treatment needed. However, when this option is not effective, another medical procedure called sclerotherapy is often employed. In very severe cases of varicose veins, surgery may be employed as a last resort. However, this is a complex procedure and is therefore employed as a last resort in very severe cases. It’s always one of the important sources for chemical drugs to seek active ingredients to make up medicine and change structure to gain new chemical drugs.

Natural medicine can be said to exist with the existence of human society, which was the main therapeutic agent of human diseases before the 18th century. With the rapid development of modern medicine and chemical pharmaceutical industry in the 19th century, natural medicine gradually lost people’s attention to shrink and this situation was more serious in the western world. Natural medicine awaked in the calling of “back to nature” all over the world in the last 20 years and has improved and developed greatly.

With the change of spectrum of disease, holistic medicine grows up. Medical community recognizes, more and more, that treatment should be stressed on overall view of health; the starting point of treatment is to stimulate the self-healing ability; the lead of disease treatment is the patient himself/herself and the cure is nothing more than backer; various treatments should be applied, which is common to the therapy of the traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine extremely stresses that treatment principle is overall regulation and the focus of treatment should be put on fostering and mobilizing vial qi of human body.

Modern chemical drugs have poor efficacy or side effects and drug resistance of some drugs become more and more serious. Under these circumstances, people begin to train their eyes to natural plant medicine for varicose veins. Plant medicines are drugs that are extracted and separated according to the main physicochemical property and material characteristics from roots, stems, flows, skins, leaves, or fruits of plants. Most of the plant medicines are targeted with insignificant toxicity and side effects, which are one of the main sources of clinical drugs.

Plant medicine is established to not only reverse conditions stemming from venous insufficiency, but also improve the overall tone of the veins. These are true venous blood decongestants and used to negate venous blood stagnation which causes varicose veins and venous insufficiency. The astringent properties of these treatments provide a tightening effect to skin tissue. The certified organic essential oils used in plant medicine have been extracted according to traditional methods and they have not been chemically treated or altered. They are 100% pure and chemotyped. To learn more, please go to http://www.naturespharma.org.

Plant medicine Eliminates Molluscum Contagiosum Thoroughly

Molluscum Contagiosum affects only the outer layer of skin and does not circulate throughout the body in healthy people. The virus causes small white, pink, or flesh-colored raised bumps or growths with a dimple or pit in the center. The bumps may appear anywhere on the body, alone or in groups. In most people, the growths range from about the size of a pinhead to as large as a pencil eraser. The bumps are usually smooth and firm. They are usually painless, although they may be itchy, red, swollen or sore.
Molluscum infections occur worldwide but are more common in warm, humid climates and where living conditions are crowded. There is evidence that molluscum infections have been on the rise in the United States since 1966, but these infections are not routinely monitored because they are seldom serious and routinely disappear without treatment. Molluscum is common enough that you should not be surprised if you see someone with it or if someone in your family becomes infected. Although not limited to children, it is most common in children 1 to 10 years of age. People with weakened immune systems are at higher risk for getting molluscum, and their growths may look different, be larger, and be more difficult to treat.
Molluscum usually disappear within 6 to 12 months without treatment and without leaving scars. Some growths may remain for up to 4 year. It is becoming increasingly more frequent as a sexually transmitted disease in sexually active young adults. This alarming fact makes effective treatments for molluscum highly critical. Recovery from one infection with molluscum does not prevent future infections so it is important not to pick at or scratch other people’s skin. Molluscum is not like herpes viruses, which can remain dormant in your body for long periods and then reappear. If you get new molluscum bumps after you are cured, it means you have come in contact with an infected person or subject.
Unfortunately, there are few adequate and non invasive molluscum treatments. Surgically removing molluscum or using acids for molluscum treatment are traumatic and not always effective. Viruses exhibit rapid rates of mutation which can make immunity difficult to sustain. Once a cell is infected, it is difficult to selectively inhibit the virus without harming the host cell. Thus, research on possible molluscum treatments have focused on plants as strong allies in restoring immune strength and inhibiting the spread of viral diseases. Natural medicine for molluscum contagiosum awaked in the calling of “back to nature” all over the world and has improved and developed greatly.
Natural medicine for various diseases can be said to exist with the existence of human society, which was the main therapeutic agent of human diseases before the 18th century. With the rapid development of modern medicine and chemical pharmaceutical industry in the 19th century, natural medicine gradually lost people’s attention to shrink and this situation was more serious in the western world. Modern chemical drugs have poor efficacy or side effects and drug resistance of some drugs become more and more serious. Under these circumstances, people begin to train their eyes to natural medicine.
As plant medicine has the demonstrated ability to penetrate all layers of the skin and thoroughly eradicate molluscum infections, these active ingredients in this treatment for molluscum have received considerable attention. When treating molluscum, topical application of plant medicine counters the infection, rapidly utilizing the powerful forces of its monoterpenes. These micro particles in this treatment provide the most rapid absorption; they enter cell membranes with incredible swiftness and have a direct antiviral effect against molluscum. Plant medicine has excellent antiviral activity against hulled viruses as it causes their cellular death upon exposure.
The antiviral properties of plant medicine for molluscum have a tremendous therapeutic impact to eradicate viral pathogens, especially those infecting the skin. Plant medicine provides a profound healing effect against MCV. Sesquiterpenes, intentionally concentrated in plant medicine, are known to exhibit a wide spectrum of biological and pharmaceutical properties. A large number of sesquiterpenes concentrated in this natural molluscum treatment exhibit quantifiable antiviral activities against pox viruses. Could Alternative Medicine For ADHD Be A Treatment Option Worth Considering

Certainly the biggest concern for most parents of ADHD children is finding the safest and most effective treatment method possible. One would think that once the initial diagnosis confirmed the presence of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder the path would be clear cut from that point on. Sadly, this is not the case.

There are truly as many different treatment options, including alternative medicine for ADHD, as there are symptoms. The primary symptoms are inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity followed by a long list of secondary symptoms including anticipation of failure, worry, boredom, loss of motivation, frustration, low self esteem, sleep disturbances, and hopelessness. There is also the concern of overlapping conditions such as OCD, bi-polar disorder, learning disorders, and oppositional defiant disorder. As you can see the list is long, leading to the possible implementation of multiple prescription medications, all of which have potential serious side effects.

This has brought many parents of ADHD children into a new world of treatment known as alternative medicine ADHD.

Whether you are talking about conventional treatment options such as the stimulants Ritalin or Adderall or alternative medicine for ADHD experts agree that the best way to treat this complex condition is through a multimodal approach. In other words, by implementing several different treatments that complement one another  you will be improving the chances for success. For one person the winning formula may include medication, diet, exercise, and behavior modification. For someone else it may include homeopathic alternative medicine for ADHD, talk therapy, and neurofeedback. Additionally, some therapies may be classified as short term or temporary fixes, while others tend to produce long lasting positive results.

All of the above treatment options have worked great for some and not so well for others. Thus, finding the right treatments and managing them takes some study, planning, organization, and perseverance. One might wonder who has the hardest job the ADHD child who has to cope with problematic symptoms on a daily basis or the parent who not only has to manage their child but investigate and make informed decisions on what type of treatment option to pursue. To make life easier, most professionals in the field of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder suggest finding a specialized medical professional to work hand in hand with you to determine and manage treatment. For instance, if alternative medicine for ADHD is your choice, then a naturopathic doctor or natural health specialist would be suggested. If diet modification is the avenue you feel will work best then a professional specializing in nutrition would be suggested.

For those struggling with ADHD finding an effective treatment option is a necessary first step. The most common method of conventional treatment are stimulants, such as Ritalin, Adderall and Cylert. While effective in the short run, all stimulant medications come with a number of serious label warnings. The risk of side effects, or perhaps lack of success with stimulants, has prompted many to investigate other options. A couple examples of this are behavior modification therapy and/or alternative medicine for ADHD. Alternative medicine for ADHD is a side effect free way to address such problematic symptoms as inattention, distractibility, impulsivity, erratic behavior and hyperactivity, and can be used both as a standalone treatment or as a compliment to other nonprescription alternatives.

Natural ADHD Alternatives – Why Widening Our Horizons Is So Important In Treating ADHD

Did you know why natural ADHD alternatives are not even considered? Simply because parents and doctors have a very unbalanced approach to the whole ADHD problem. Because of that, lack of concentration, inattention, lack of focus, squirming, fidgeting and constant motion will become more than noticeable.

Complementary Medicine Programs – an Integrative Approach to Healthcare

Complementary medicine programs offer candidates an integrative and holistic perspective to health and healing; and enable practitioners to apply this vast knowledge to already-established practices. In addition, medical graduates who are seeking post-graduate studies find that acquiring supplemental courses like these help to enhance overall care that goes into treating patients on the whole.

With the changing times, there has been an increased interest in natural and alternative medicine treatments, which has ultimately been a major factor in the surge of complementary medicine programs now available throughout the United States and abroad. Depending on where your interest lies, there is an abundance of healing arts programs from which to choose, including in-depth training in acupuncture and Oriental medicine, chiropractic, and massage therapy, among other related fields.

Complementary medicine programs are more popular today than in the past in part due to the fact that the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) has been and continues to research many of the integrative healthcare treatments available today; including whole medical systems like homeopathic medicine, naturopathy and Ayurveda.

Mind-body medicine therapies that are frequently taught in complementary medicine programs have become accepted forms of mainstream health treatment, according to NCCAM. Some of these studies involve Qi gong, Tai Chi, meditation, hypnosis, yoga and biofeedback – to list just a few.

Other popular complementary medicine programs teach students a broad range of holistic medicines including botanical/herbal medicine, dietary supplementation, nutritional counseling, and other wellness topics.

Taking an integrative healthcare approach to health and healing has always been one of the many philosophies of complementary and holistic medicine therapies. This is also why there are a number of complementary medicine programs that are offered as continuing education courses or elective classes to professional medical healthcare providers and allied healthcare givers.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding complementary medicine, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore complementary medicine programs near you.

Some recent healthcare studies* suggest that alternative medicine is growing in popularity. One of the many reasons for this increase is due in part to the fact that most alternative medicine therapies are often non-invasive, with little or no side effects.

For example, herbal medicine like St. John’s wort was scientifically studied* in Europe, presenting positive findings for its effectiveness on the treatment of certain cases of depression. However, large pharmaceutical company, Pfizer Inc., refuted these studies by carrying out an independent study on the herb. The difference, though, between this alternative medicine in comparison to drugs like Prozac, is the potentially lethal side effects; which have made recent headlines in anti-depressant/anti-anxiety drug lawsuits.

Complementary and alternative medicine like acupuncture is also making leeway in the field of mental healthcare. In a small pilot study* carried out by researchers, acupuncture was used as a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy on patients suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). Interestingly enough, research found that acupuncture may be effective in helping people, who have PTSD.

Another form of alternative medicine, believe it or not, is meditation. Studies* found that individuals who practice meditation are more proficient at recognizing and processing information. Does this mean that meditation gurus are more intellectual? No, it simply means that most individuals who practice meditation have an improved sensory-cognitive perception, or heightened sense of awareness. Perhaps alternative medicine like meditation may one day find its way into educational facilities across the country; which could potentially lead to more positive learning environments, as well as a reduction in attention deficit disorders?

Persons suffering from psychiatric problems like bipolar disorder may also find relief from complementary and alternative medicine like Omega-3 fatty acids. Because Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients, researchers studied this supplement to determine its effectiveness on certain mental health conditions. With promising results of the (researcher’s) meta-analysis, the future is looking brighter for those plagued with depression or bipolar disorder; and alternative medicine like Omega-3 fatty acids has the potential to play an important, complementary role in helping to treat these disorders.

Intrigued by alternative medicine? You’re not alone. Over 74 percent of US adults have used complementary and/or alternative medicine* at some time in their lives. This is also one of the many reasons why natural health and alternative healing schools have begun popping up all across the country.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding schools in alternative medicine, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore alternative medicine programs near you.

Alternatives In Mental Health

“Health” and “illness” are contrasting terms. They can be used in physical or in mental context. We know that physical exercise done on a regular basis keeps us healthy. Mental exercise also keeps us mentally healthy. Just like after doing physical exercise we need rest, after mental exercise the mind also needs rest. But we hear the term “physical rest” frequently. The term “mental rest” is rarely used. No doubt then that as mental activities have increased with industrialisation, stress has increased. This stress results from our inability to allow our mind to become inactive or relaxed for even a short time.

The word Cancer has many bad things associated with it, but there is another four letter word called “Cure” that is just as bad. The medical system and the laws make everyone very cautious when using this word. So we use the word “Alternative” and we will discuss alternative medicine for Cancer.

The word Cancer scares people, but if we look behind the word and see what’s happening inside you body we see that for many reasons the good cells have gone bad. If you want to dig deeper we can see that the immune system has been damaged to the point it cannot fight anymore. It is at this point we look for alternative medicine for cancer.

The obvious first steps to change in the fight against cancer or any problem is diet. For humans to survive we need things like water, food, and air. For cancer to survive it needs a acidic environment. Changing your diet can aid in disrupting that environment, but can it fix the damage. Some say it can and there are many factors pertaining to the degree of damage your body is at.

We know chemo and radiation are the common treatments fo cancer, but there is alternative medicine for cancer. One we researched and found affects your endorphins which in turn stimulates your immune system. it’s like reviving the troops for another fight.

The great thing about this alternative is it has very little side effects (for a drug) and is inexpensive. This alternative medicine for cancer is FDA approved and is being used by practitioners today. You won’t be a lab rat because this alternative has been used by patients with varying diseases for years now.

The drug companies can’t make the kind of profits from this alternative medicine for cancer that there use to so they passed this alternative by.

If you read on you will see how effective this alternative medicine really is.

For someone who’s been diagnosed with cancer and hoping a treatment will be found to offer them a solution to their problem, we already have a solution but unfortunately it isn’t sanctioned by our mainstream medical system so won’t be offered. The solution is to find the reasons that first caused the cancer and remove them which will allow the body to heal again.

How To Become An Alternative Medicine Provider

Healing through alternative medicine is a broad subject, traditionally referred to as practices and applications not usually taught by conventional or western medical schools as treatment for illnesses. Alternative medicine is typically not covered by health insurance, although acupuncture, massage, and chiropractic have recently gotten the go ahead. For those of you interested in becoming alternative medicine providers, the practice is divided into seven major categories: Bioelectricmagnetic applications-which include magnet therapy, diet, nutrition, and lifestyle changes (homeopathic practices), herbal medicine, manual healing, ( Chinese medicine, massage, acupuncture) and biological treatments.

Alternative medicine is meant to treat the body holistically-body, mind, and spirit, and is highly based on preventative practices. That is, Alt. med. is geared toward preventing rather than simply treating symptoms of ailments. Actually, only about 30% of the world uses what we call western or modern medicine. The other 70% use holistic or alternative medicine and Americans are just now catching up. The good news is that American doctors are beginning to see the benefits of alternative forms of therapy and more of them are beginning to add some form of alternative medicine to their practice. “Mainstream” doctors are beginning to refer patients for massage therapy, surgeons are referring to chiropractors. The result is that the terms ”mainstream” and “alternative” are beginning to blur.

Alternative medicine is being used along with other alternative therapies or traditional therapies (called “complimentary”) and reflects a shift in attitude. It seems people are much more accepting of alternative medicine if it is used in conjunction with conventional methods of treatment rather than as an “alternative” or “instead of.” Professional alternative medicine practitioners are trained by accredited schools and practice in established locations-no back alley medicine here-you must meet all the entry requirements of the holistic medicine schools and maintain excellent skills to become accredited. Each health care system has its own accreditation, and includes Traditional Oriental Medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, naturopathy, anthroposophy, and ayurvedic (Indian) medicine.

Each system has its own theory of illness (although if you study them separately you will see that they are very much the same indeed, which is another feather in alternative medicine’s cap-to have the same principles work on either end of the world), an educational plan to teach theory and practice, a support system and a legal and ethical committee to answer to. All have the need to restore balance as a common denominator. Homeopath medicine is used world wide, and involves natural animal, plant, and mineral substances. Practitioners of homeopath medicine usually are also accredited acupuncturists and are regulated by the food and drug administration. They treat acute and chronic diseases and into preventative therapies and promoting good health in order to prevent sickness. Homeopathy very much is able to combine modern medicine with natural and herbal care. Native American alternative medicine involves much sweating and expelling of toxins which cause imbalance and disease. This is achieved by the use of herbs and teas, and a lot of heat. Ceremonial dances and chants add to the mystical properties of the healing.

Or maybe you’re interested in working in the bioelectromagnetic field of alternative medicine. Working with magnets is growing in popularity as people are beginning to discover the benefits of wearing magnetic insoles in their shoes and sleeping on magnetically charged mattress pads. The magnets increase blood flow and bring about circulatory health which lessens back pain and headaches. Chances are you’ve decided to enter the world of alternative medicine because you’ve had a good experience with it. Your current health provider can help you research the area of your choice and give you advice as to how to proceed.

Basic Principles of Complementary/ Alternative Therapies

JUST AS MAINSTREAM MEDICINE has a fairly consistent approach to illness, so does al-ternative medicine. Most prevalent in alternative medicine are the six naturopathic principles. In one form or another, these principles are revisited again and again throughout Section Two of this text. The following principles are described by Dr. Catherine Downey and excerpted from her chapter on naturopathic medicine.

Find Chiropractic Medicine Education in the United States and Canada. When an individual mentions “back pain,” many folks automatically think about chiropractic medicine to help alleviate physical problems such as this; and it’s no wonder – today, more and more people are seeking alternative treatment such as chiropractic medicine to help in healing for chronic pain and other health disorders.

Addressing the whole person, and not just symptoms, chiropractic medicine is indeed a holistic and integrative means to achieving whole health and wellbeing. Using special spinal adjustment techniques to free “subluxations” from the spinal column, chiropractic medicine is believed to restore balance to the body to improve physical wellbeing.

Chiropractic medicine, as well as other academic programs in holistic healthcare is quickly becoming a mainstay in the educational industry. Because consumer demand for natural therapies and holistic medicine is on the rise, so is the demand for alternative education in the healing arts.

Students seeking a comprehensive education in chiropractic medicine quickly discover that they must first meet certain educational requirements from an accredited university or college prior to enrollment into any one of several chiropractic medicine programs. In most cases, applicants must first meet pre-chiropractic course requirements equaling to a 4-year degree.

Another fact to consider is that while chiropractic medicine fields can be quite lucrative and personally rewarding, educational and clinical training requirements are very intensive. To successfully become a doctor of chiropractic, students enrolled in a chiropractic medicine education program will learn that this particular course of study is comprised of a minimum of 4,200 credit hours; which can run from 4-7 years, depending on part-time or full-time studies. In addition, chiropractic medicine programs may encompass specialized training in a variety of pathological focuses, such as orthopedics. Furthermore, chiropractic medicine studies don’t end once graduates have acquired licensure status; a matter of fact, it is almost always a state requirement that professional chiropractic practitioners continue their education with yearly continuing education courses to maintain licensure.

As with any potential university or college, it is always wise for prospective students to review chiropractic medicine program curriculum, tuition and prerequisites prior to applying. In a lot of cases, chiropractic medicine courses are eligible for financial aid programs such as the federal Pell grant and other common student loan programs.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in pursuing the chiropractic medicine profession, let career training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore career school programs near you.

Anthroposophical Medicine

]]>

Anthroposophical medicine, one of the many initiatives launched by Rudolf Steiner, is a holistic approach to healing that entails an in-depth assessment of the fourfold human constitution  – wherein the inter-weave of physical, etheric, astral and egoic bodies of the individual are delved into.  It’s practitioners are commonly full M.D.s, although there are also naturopaths and other holistic healers who use anthroposophical principles in their practice.

Treatment can entail attention to any or all of the four bodies, often using homeopathic and herbal remedies manufactured by quality-focused companies, such as Weleda Products, who apply both in-depth research and rigorous practices in the manufacturing process.

High-level considerations in medicine translate as remedies that facilitate the body’s natural healing processes.  Rather than simply masking symptoms, as is often the case in allopathic medicine, the holistic approach looks to symptoms as signs of imbalance within the body.  By seeking an understanding of how the body is naturally working to heal itself, holistic medicines are then formulated to stimulate a patient’s innate self-healing powers.

Also, the following standards are applied, under ideal conditions of remedy production:

- ideal plant sources use biodynamic methods of cultivation

- recognizing the affinity of human to nature  – the bridge that leads naturally to the optimal remedy for a given ailment.

- fair trade and ecologically sound growing principles

Materialistic science tends to view disease as nothing more than an enemy to eradicate. In contrast, the spiritual-scientific perspective of Steiner indicates that illnesses are often the cure for a soul condition.

Childhood illnesses can be of significant value to an individual’s destiny.  Young children have more mutable DNA than adults.  Children often incarnate into a body which they feel does not suit them.  In effect, they experience discomfort, a feeling of being not-at-home in the body.  The spirit of the child which, in its over-lighting wisdom, knows what is best for the overall development of the child, can use a high fever as a catalyst to transform the DNA so that the body is made more suitable for the individual soul inhabiting it.  Immunizations can interfere with this process, resulting in a child having to live with allergies and/or asthma for the rest of its life.

Another related issue entailing modern medical practice emerges when some illnesses are eradicated for the general population.  Because we require a particular “medical challenge” to remedy a given imbalance on the soul level of our being, the pool of human consciousness seeks out new illnesses to fill the gap.  Accessing the challenges and/or conditions needed to complete a soul-quest becomes the issue.  Curtailing diphtheria and tetanus, for example, necessitated humanity’s subconscious search for replacement illnesses.

This dynamic does not mean that we stop striving to alleviate suffering.  We continue with this, of course. But with greater understanding decisions pertaining to illness can lead to more optimal overall and long term benefits.

Steiner once recounted the tale of a man who had developed restricted breathing on one side of his chest.  After an operation the man could breath normally.  However, his spirit had actually created the breathing restriction because of a weakness in one of his lungs.  The unrestricted breathing that resulted from the operation shortened the man’s life, due to complications in the lung.  He would have lived longer had he left his condition as it was.

Extensions of anthroposophical medicine include artistic therapies such as eurhythmy (the science and art of movement to speech and music), music, and painting.

From Wikipedia: “A study of anthroposophic treatment of chronic illness found that Anthroposophic therapies were associated with long-term reduction of chronic disease symptoms, improvement of health-related quality of life, and health cost reduction.”

A few examples of effective alternative remedies include:

Iscador  – a homeopathic dose of mistletoe for treating cancer, immune deficiency, or burnout.  From Wikipedia: “This treatment is widely used in Central Europe, where up to two-thirds of all oncology patients’ treatment regimen includes mistletoe.”

Bidor  – a homeopathic treatment taken over a span of time to help ameliorate chronic migraine headaches.

Infludo  – for influenza
